The GFWC St. Petersburg Woman’s Club building located on Snell Isle, is a designated historical landmark.  This beautiful facility has been an integral part of our community, both in physical proximity and in events it has hosted.

 

Unfortunately, since 1929, time has taken its toll on our architectural treasure.  The building is in need of major renovations.  Also, due to FEMA code requirements and the historic designation, we face additional financial burdens.

As a valued member of our community, we know you receive many requests to provide financial assistance.  However, in our seventy-seven year history, this is the first time we have asked for help.  Please carefully consider our request by making a donation to our Restoration Fund by becoming a supporting member.   The initial estimate we have received for the immediate restoration needs totals approximately $125,000.  Our support levels are enclosed.

 We are a 501(c)3 organization , which makes your generous donation tax deductible.  C. Perry Snell was generous with his donation of the land and some seed money for the building.  We are all stewards of his legacy.

When you contribute, your name will be included in a contributor list, which will be posted inside the building.  For Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Perry Snell contributors, you may request a specially engraved plaque, which will hang in the building.
